When Maegan and Sean were planning the biggest day of their lives, they knew their wedding at the 2Gather Elegant Event Venue in Auburn Hills, Michigan, wouldn't be complete without their absolute favorite family member.
On September 12, 2025, the happy couple said "I do," surrounded by stunning modern elegance, loving family, great friends, and their handsome Corgi, Walter, who proudly served as the Dog of Honor.
Every pet is a chapter in a couple's love story, but Walter’s chapter is incredibly special.
"After a couple of years of convincing, Maeg finally convinced Sean to get a dog," the couple shared. "We saw a couple playing with their corgi in the park and were inspired to look into the breed. After some research, we were sold and made the trek down to Ohio to pick up our little Walter. He has been our 'baby' ever since. We definitely refer to him as our child!"
Because Walter is truly their baby, leaving him out of the wedding festivities was never an option.
"It was important for us to include Walter because he is such a big part of our lives that it wouldn't feel right not having him there for the biggest day in our lives."
When the ceremony began, Walter was ready for his official Dog of Honor duties. He trotted down the aisle with total confidence, instantly melting the hearts of everyone in the room. But according to the newlyweds, his exit was the part that truly made the day unforgettable.
"If you ask us, the best part was being able to surprise our guests with Walter strutting his stuff down the aisle," they said. "If you ask our guests, it was Walter's single bark after he made his exit out of the ceremony room. Almost every guest that came up to us at the reception mentioned the bark, and they loved it!"
It was the perfect "mic drop" moment for a spectacular pup!
While having Walter at the venue was a non-negotiable for Maegan and Sean, they also knew they needed a realistic plan to keep him safe and happy without overwhelming themselves or their wedding party. That is where our wedding pet attendant service came in.
"We knew that we would be insanely busy on the day and everyone that could have handled Walter was involved in the day somehow," the couple explained. "We didn't want to burden any close friends/family with the job but knew we wanted Walter involved."

"I am so glad that we did this," Maegan and Sean reflected. "It gave us so much joy to include our Walter boy in our big day. It wouldn't feel right doing it without him!"
